Put product photos on a white background, free

Marketplaces and shops look best with products on plain white. You don’t need a studio: take the photo where you are and let Cuthouse replace the background in your browser. Your product photos are never uploaded, which matters before a launch.

How to do it

  1. Photograph the product in good, even light, with the whole item in the frame.
  2. Open Cuthouse and drop the photo in.
  3. Under Background, choose White.
  4. Tick Crop to the subject for a tight frame with a little margin.
  5. Fix any leftover spot with Erase or Restore, then click JPG.

Check your marketplace’s rules

Each marketplace has its own photo rules, such as a pure white background for the main image, a minimum size, or how much of the frame the product should fill. Check the current seller guidelines of the site you sell on before you upload.

Many products?

The free version does one photo at a time. Cuthouse Pro (coming soon, one-time purchase) will do whole folders at once, with square layouts, padding and a soft shadow.
